What better way to cap our Herbert in Toronto conference than with a trip to Canada’s premier Shakespeare venue, the Stratford Festival, for their new production of Shakespeare’s most “metaphysical” play, The Winter’s Tale? GHS has reserved a block of seats at the spiffing New Tom Patterson Theatre for the 22 June Sunday matinee performance of this tragicomedy, which plumbs the depths of irrational jealousy and betrayal, and the greater depths—and heights—of faithful perseverance, heart-deep repentance, and forgiving grace; not to mention one man-eating bear and a resurrection from the dead.

Transportation will be by hired van or bus departing from and returning to Trinity College of the University of Toronto—a two-hour trip each way to Stratford for a 2 pm matinee.
If our Sunday, 22 June 8 pm return to Trinity College creates a need to extend your college lodging, you may do so by adding an extra night’s stay at the same room rates:
Single room rates, including service fees, are $60 per night, while double room rates, including service fees, are $35 per person per night, or $65 per night for one person in a double room—plus, if you wish, $15 for breakfast. These rates can simply be added into the above PayPal ticket payment.
